History of atomic discovery

Many people for a centuries believed that the substance were formed from the few basic elements.Different religions have described different elements which is the block of nature. It has described basic elements but no one in ancient philosophies coincide with the concept of atoms but it was only in the 5 th century, when a scientist named Leucippus wondered what would happen when we break a piece of particles to its smallest one and he also tried it experimentally and broke the particles to its smallest one until it become invisible so he coined the term atom  meaning "unsplittable ".

Moving on further investigations and discoveries went on the path of atoms different scientist gave different opinions on the basic of reasons or hypothesis.Democritus, studnet of leucippus worked on his idea and theory and stated that the human mind as well as a huge space between the atoms and all things ate made up of atoms which was explained without proof by only reasoning in favour of law of nature.

Jojh dalton  later on investigate and discovered properties of atoms and posted a postulates about atomic theory people at that time gave preference to his theory but as it has too many limitations it was broke out in today's date .
The postulates of daltons atomic theory are
*atoms are the smallest , invisible and indivisible parts of a matter.
*atoms of the same element are identical in all respect but different from those atoms of other elements
*atoms can neither be created nor can be destroyed
*atoms can combine in a simple whole number ratio to give a compoud atom.

Though his postulates gives first all the concept of atom it is outdated as it has limitations so the limitaions of daltons atomic theory are
* Due to the presence of sub atomic particles like electron proton anti quarkete it is further divisible.
*Atoms of the same element may be different in some respects due to presence of isotopes.while atoms of different elements may be identical in some respect due to isobars.
*Atoms can neither be created nor can be destroyed but can be transfer from one form to other by nuclear reaction.
* Atoms can also combine in a complex whole number ratio to give a compound atom.

Hence in this way we came to conclude all the natures and characteristics about atoms in this golden era of science from the continuos research from the back thousand years till now.

                      ONE MEMORABLE STORY
                              JOHN DALTON
When john dalton was asked why he never married ,he replied "I havent time.My head is too full of triangles, chemical processes and electrical experiments to think of any such nonsense."
