How touchscreen actually works

Today's world is the age of digital electronics. Digital world have made our life easier and comfortable. Besides this things the important component of the digital electronics is the touch screen. The curiosity is its workings. It is widely used in today's most of the electronic devices like mobiles, camera, tablets and many more. It is also considered to be a good source of security in the banks and the lockers as in the form of finger print touchscreen. Today most of the mobile phones used the touchscreen as a finger print security system. Now lets discuss about the working of the touchscreen.
The touchscreen system is widely distributed into two types. The third type which is infrared touchscreen system is only involved in ebooks and other few gadgets. The basic system are as resistive touchscreen system and capacitive touchscreen system. The resistive touchscreen consists of a electrically two layers one of which is the resistive layer and other is the conductive layer. In between this two layers there is the scratch proof glass which is coated from outside. In between the two layers there is a spacer provided which hits the conductive layers when the finger is touched. The electric current and circuit is joined properly between them. It sends the electric command to do a particular task. This are very durable. On behalf of all this things it does not support or detect two fingers touching. Most of the mobiles and phones now have a eight finger detectors at a time. This is the only reason that the resistive touchscreen system is discarded. Now the capacitive touchscreen system consists of a layer that stores a very small amount of current in the four corner of the layer. We all know that our body also possess some amount of charge so when we touch the screen the sensor track to where the influence of electric charge is feel. We actually don't know the electric charge do not flow but it only feels. It gives the corresponding signal to perform the work. The third type of the touch screen is the infrared touch screen which works on the basic of LED and photo cells. It consists of many horizontal and vertical lines and the touch on it interrupts them so that the sensor could easily detect it. It gives the signal in the form of x and y coordinates.
Hence this are the types of the touchscreen and their actual workings.
